Kettle Pasta Toss
Boiling water and a jar of sauce — dinner with no stove and no plan.
No stovetop, no problem — a kettle and a bowl are all this needs. Boiling water softens angel hair just like a pot would, it just takes a little patience instead of a boil. Stir in whatever sauce you've got and it's dinner, no matter where you're cooking from.
Steps
- 1
—
Boil water in the kettle.
- 2
Small pasta shapes (or broken angel hair)
Place the pasta in a heatproof bowl. Pour the boiling water over it until covered by about an inch. Stir once, then cover with a plate.
- 3
—
Let sit 10–12 minutes, stirring once partway through to keep it from clumping, until the pasta is tender. Drain off the extra water.
- 4
Pasta sauce
Stir the sauce into the drained pasta until warmed through.
- 5
—
Bonus, if you have it:
Cheese/Parmesan
Top and serve.
